City Auto hosts a number of community drives annually that support organizations that provide help to those most in need in our community.

Each year, blood donors support Lifeblood at several blood drives we host by donating a combined total of more than 50 units of blood. City Auto also co-sponsors Lifeblood’s DonorFest, the largest one-day blood drive in the Mid-South.

Annually City Auto collects around 2,000 pounds of food for the Mid-South Food Bank. In addition to our regular food drive, in 2010 we donated 100 turkeys in response to an urgent announcement about a food bank shortage of turkeys for Thanksgiving.

Also, each year City Auto supports at least a half dozen families through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program providing much needed clothes, winter coats and holiday toys.

In recent years, City Auto has grown our reach in the community supporting Porter-Leath, the Mid-South’s primary service provider for at-risk children and families providing homes, educational and counseling support and other help for disadvantage youth, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure Memphis-MidSouth, the local affiliate of the premier breast cancer research and awareness organization.
